Today is Friday

Yes it is, don't deny it.

I'm happy these last couple of days, yesterday I had an interview (set up by my teacher, very nice of her) so maybe on Monday or sometime soon I will be an assistant to a lawyer, I mean it's nothing special and it's going to be very mundane tasks but I'm not bothered, I want the money so that I can actually travel next year and be able to take care of myself. Fed up of having to ask for money, well I'm not, but my parents are haha.

Plus, I probably have to pay for 2 tickets for where I want to go, depends.. either I have to pay for Dora or Dad to come to Venezuela with me.. or I have to pay for Nanyeicy to meet me in England so that she can meet my Mum.. I dunno. We'll see, I might not have to pay for either by the time we get to a point where I'm able to travel!

Aaaand.. I'm out.

Morning..

I'm tired, don't know why. I slept well last night, nevermind that's not important right now. What is important is where the hell is everyone? Class was supposed to start 10 minutes ago and so far there are only 3 other people in here than me (that's including the teacher). Oh well, life is too short to give a crap.

My Birthday

So I really should have posted this on Wednesday night, but I was a little drunk and to be honest it didn't really cross my mind. It turned out to be quite a surreal day in the end really, nothing like any of my birthdays have ever been.. and by that I mean plain. In the past I've had parties, gone out places with friends, spent the day at the Reading Festival in England (It's a rock music festival for those of you who dont know) but this year, for the first time in my life, I spent half of my birthday at school!! Of all the places I could have been, I had to be at school. There wasn't a huge amount of celebration in the end, and the honest truth is I didn't want a lot of fuss this year, I wasn't all that interested.
I went out to dinner with the parents in the evening to an Australian restaurant called the Outback Steakhouse, always good food and a decent price, especially the Victoria "Crowned" Filet, the most tender steak I've ever had with a blue cheese topping, yum.
Came home and had a few drinks, hence the drunken Adam who didn't want to write his blog, and went to bed wishing I didn't have school the next day, but oh well.
All in all it was a good birthday, not the best on record but certainly not the worst. And thankfully, I have plenty more to come so they can always get better =).

Last Night

I went to sleep with a huge smile on my face for the first time in ages. "She" (she knows who she is) always has that effect on me, I don't really know why, all we do is talk but it always makes me so happy. Thank you sweets I needed it =).
It's been a hard two weeks, my Grandad has to have a kidney out some time in the next month or so which has been getting me down a bit. My Mum scared the crap out of me when she told me about it though, she made the mistake and told me that he was having a lung removed and when I asked if they were replacing it she said no. I got so angry that they expected a man that can hardly breathe with two lungs to breathe with one! When she realised what she had said and corrected herself I was relieved all I could do was laugh, I lay on the floor, out of breath and laughed for so long. To think I had been ready to fly to England and beat the crap out of the doctor. So luckily it's not as major as I thought it was going to be but I'm still a bit worried about it, he hasn't had the best experiences in hospital. The worst one was when he had to go into the ICU for something (I forget what) and ended up getting another disease/virus/something that caused him to be paralyzed for ages, luckily it was one of those things that cures itself given time but he had so much trouble with not being able to talk and had to relearn how to walk. It was a really rare thing, only like 1 in 100000 people get it or something and the damn hospital had 4 of them!
Anyway, in the end, madame has cheered me up and I'm grateful.

Lazy Day

Aaah, such a nice peaceful day. I have the house to myself today and tomorrow since my Dad is in Germany on business and Dora is helping a friend move to North Carolina. It's a shame it's raining really I would have liked to relax out by the pool but never mind, the quiet is good wherever you go to get it.
It's almost the end of my week off of college and I'm looking forward to going back, it gives me something to do and it can sometimes be quite interesting. Not always unfortunately.
I still really need a job but with the economy being as terrible as it is right now, somehow I don't think that I'm going to find one for a while, hopefully with the election of a new president things will pick up a little bit, then again the whole world seems to be having troubles right now.
We'll see, maybe it will get better, maybe not. The only thing that is for certain is that something has got to happen soon or the whole country is going to be shot to pieces and then we'll all be f*c*ed and a brand new civil war will follow. We can but wait to see.

This week...

This week has had a few ups and downs as with any week. Yesterday a friend of mine got kicked out of college (it wasn't her fault, the school should have reminded her of the problem sooner). That was a shame, now I have less people to talk to! And she was really clever and interesting to talk to.
In all I think it's been a good week, I ended up on the Presidents List at college for last module because I had straight A's. So... hooray for me!!!
Other than that the week has been pretty normal, finals next week for the end of this module, I should end up with straight A's again and be on the list at the end of next module =).

Ouch, sunburn!

Yesterday was a great day, really hot, so we spent the afternoon in the pool. BAD IDEA! Luckily I was wearing a hat so my beautiful face is ok, but my shoulders and back are really really red! It hurts a little.
Today I'm really happy, for no reason. Its weird.

My degree is starting to bore me at the moment, probably because most of the stuff we learnt so far is things that I did in high school in England, they're a little behind over here.
Still, I'm getting A's in every piece of work I do so I can't complain, it can bring my average up when I get further into the course and start getting B's lol.
I'm confused too, because my step mom's niece think I look like Brad Pitt, is she blind? I'm much better than him! haha (I think I need to meet this girl, could be interesting, even if she doesnt speak any English)

   
Had a great weekend. The 'family' came over so I had someone more interesting to speak to for once, I like spending time with my niece she's just as much of a nut as I am, if not more. Strange to have nieces that are older than me though really but hey, such is life! And then she has 2 kids which makes me a great uncle.. so now I feel REALLY old!

Wednesday, March 26th

Today is off to another good start, the guy called me back this morning before I got a chance to call him, thankfully. If I had called him when I was going to I would have missed the basic computer training they did this morning for their systems.

I should hopefully hear from him again by or before friday, then he can tell me I passed the drug test and background check and when I need to go in to start my on the job training (possibly friday). So all in all today is going well!

I have a feeling that I'm going to be getting irritated about the lack of things I have to do today though so I shall have to find something to occupy myself, God only knows what though seeing as there's hardly anything that needs doing around here.

Well, as I thought, my drug test came back perfectly clear this afternoon, I'll be hearing back from the guy again tomorrow once the final person has been cleared to tell me when we start our paid training. I'm really looking forward to getting a bit of money behind me! Then I can finally get my car fixed up (if they dont give me a demo car) and help out with the finances around the house a little, as well as buying myself some bits and pieces, obviously.

Not a lot else to report today really. Not much of a surprise though I have to be honest, I haven't actually done anything except vacuum the car out and sweep the dry grass off of the driveway from yesterday.

Tuesday, March 25th

Well, today was off to a great start.. I got a job offer yesterday, pending a drug test which I should pass, unless somebodies been slipping me stuff without my knowledge. Pretty average as far as days go really, cut the grass (..cleaned the crap off of the tire on the lawnmower, not nice..) sat around for ages doing nothing, that was the low point of my day, obviously. I've gotten used to doing things with my time again recently so sitting around was getting me down. In the end I had to get off of my ass and do something so I decided I would be a gentleman and cook the dinner, which coincidentally I didn't really want to eat because I wasn't hungry and it didn't take nearly as long as I was hoping it would, but never mind hey?!

Around 7 o'clock I noticed that I had 6 missed calls and 2 voicemail messages on my cell phone, I was horrified when I noticed they were all from the guy who I'm hoping will hire me!! Not good! Surely he can't have got the results to my drug test yet though, I only took it yesterday afternoon.. hopefully he'll forgive my lack of phone answering (I'm sure he will if I sling my bull convincingly enough and I'm damn good at that ha ha). Just got to make sure that I call him first thing in the morning, knowing what I've been like this last couple of months I'll be up for about 3 or 4 hours before it's time to call him, I wish I could sleep in longer I really do but it's just not happening for me, sucks.

Can't wait to go back to England for another visit with everyone, I was just there 2 weeks ago but it wasn't nearly a long enough trip for me to get everything done that I wanted to, saw most people I needed to though which is always good. I doubt I'm going to end up with any more than a weeks holiday this year though so it's not looking promising for me being able to go back anytime soon, that kinda bums me out but I'll get used to the idea of having so little holiday time in the states after a while, they get a LOT longer in England.
